IWT has found its use in almost all fields of medicine. It may be used as an alternative medical treatment on a level with common treatments, and also as a monotherapy in treating the following diseases:

Gastroenterology — ulcer of the duodenum and stomach, gastritis, duodenitis, duodenal-gastral and gastro-oesophageal refluxes, chronic inflammation diseases of the liver and biliary tracts, biliary dyskinesia, chronic pancreatitis, chronic entero-colitis, including nonspecific ulcers of the colon.

Pulmonology — nonspecific lung diseases with bronchial-obstructive syndrome (bronchial asthma and chronic bronchitis.)

Surgery and Anesthesiology — cures blood vessel diseases of the lower extremities, Raynaud`s disease, trophic ulcer of the lower extremities, wounds; brings about relief of phantom limb post-amputation pains, cures diffuse mastopathy, assists in the preparation of ulcer patients for an operation and anesthesia and assists the speedy rehabilitation in the early post-operation period. (It restores the alimentary canal function, normal breathing and haemodynamics in early postoperative narcosis.) It is a prophylactic for stitch insolvency, anastomositis and other disorders caused by pathological conditions.

Traumatology and Orthopedics — it is applied in cases of aseptic necrosis of the thigh-bone head, deforming arthrosis, arthritis, osteochondrosis, diseases and injuries of the vertebral column, anesthetization and also stimulation of the processes of bone and flesh tissue regeneration in the postoperative period.

Neurology — infantile cerebral paralysis, diseases and disorders of  the peripheral nervous system, rehabilitation after an apoplectic stroke, brain and spinal cord traumas, vegeto-vascular and neurocirculatory dystonia.

Psychiatry — it helps eliminate alcoholism and drug-addiction, depression syndrome, diencephalic syndrome and neuroses.

Endocrinology — it is used to combat insular diabetes, diabetic angiopathies, post thyrotrophic encephalo-ophthalmopathy, hypothyroidism (mainly to avoid neurosis-like syndromes) and paresis of voice chords after operations on the thyroid gland.

Dermatology — it is used to treat vulgar and non-malignant pemphigus, neuro-dermatitis, red flat herpes, multiform exudative erythema, systemic scleroderma, During’s disease and psoriasis.

Gynaecology and Obstetrics — here it assists in the healing of chronic inflammatory diseases of genital organs with menstruation dysfunction and secondary sterility, Chiary-Fromel and Stein-Levental syndrome, cervical erosion, pain relief, rehabilitation in early postoperative periods and elimination of pregnancy toxicosis.

Nephrology and Urology — it has cured urethra-prostatitis, renal colic and given pain relief and assisted in rehabilitation during early post-operative periods. Diabetic nephropathy, chronic inflammatory diseases of kidneys and urinary tract, impotence and enuresis have all been treated successfully in this manner.

Otolaryngology — it has proved valuable in treating cochlear neuritis and chronic inflammatory diseases of the ear, nose and throat. It gives pain relief after tonsillectomy.

Oncology — the IWT treatment gives pain relief for inoperable forms of cancer. It increases immunity and stimulates the organism’s nonspecific defence forces.

Cardiology — hypertension, cardio ischemia and disturbances of the heart rhythm, rehabilitation after infarction and rheumatic polyarthritis are treated successfully with the IWT methodology.

Ophthalmology — diabetic retinopathy, optic neuritis, keratitis and conjunctivitis are areas of pathology which respond well to IWT treatment, too.

Stomatology — IWT treatment gives relief from toothache, neuritis of facial nerves and trigeminus, parodontosis and surgical stomatology.

Pediatrics — IWT is used to treat stomach-intestine organ diseases, respiratory and skin diseases, consequences of birth trauma, infantile cerebral paralysis, disease of the central and peripheral nervous system, aseptic necrosis of the thigh neck-bone and enuresis. It gives pain relief after tonsillectomies.

In addition, the IWT is used to treat patients who were exposed to radiation as a result of accidents at nuclear power stations.
